Marble Run at Lloyd Elsmore

The whole class had a go at the marble run.
We found a weak point in the run where marbles flew off on a sharp corner.
The starting point . . . away it goes!

CBS Cross Country 2016

Ready to race!

On Thursday, the whole school walked to Howick College to run the cross country.  We ran in year groups, divided into girls and boys.  Everyone completed the run in their best personal time.  Bianca and Samuel were placed in the Year 3 girls and the Year 3 boys respectively.

And the Year 3 girls are off . . .
Bianca led down the first straight and was one of the first girls to finish.

. . . And then the boys are off!

Samuel was placed first in the Year 3 Boys Cross County.
Bianca was placed in the Year 3 Girls Cross Country.

Middle School Swimming Sports

Year 3 and Year 4 students all competed in the Middle School Swimming Sports on Wednesday.  Competitive swimmers raced first, followed by the non competitive races: Dolphin Push, Flitter Flutter and the Wheelbarrow.  Everyone competed in two events, except our relay team (Kylie, Luke, Paula and Samuel) which also competed in the Year 3 inter class relay. Congratulations to everyone who raced, and a special mention to Samuel who came first in the seven year boys' competitive race.

Tball challenge

After our turn on the water slide, Room 19 played T-ball.  We practised hitting and catching the ball, batting and fielding so we were ready to play (and hopefully, beat) Room 18 in a Tball Inter-class challenge later in the term.
